In my latest Twitter Spaces interview, I sat down with Patrick Rea to discuss the private side of cannabis investing. Patrick is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable venture investors, he's led over 130 investments into 115 companies in cannabis tech, hemp, and CBD sectors. Prior to becoming Managing Director of Poseidon Garden Ventures, he served as Co-Founder and CEO of Canopy Boulder, a venture fund and business accelerator for the legal cannabis industry's ancillary products and services sectors.

During our conversation, we discuss how he got into cannabis investing, what he looks for when evaluating opportunities, and how federal progress impacts his decisions, and we conclude by covering what to look forward to in 2023. Below is a link to the conversation. To listen, click on the tweet and you can play the conversation on any mobile device. Spaces do not work on the desktop.

My next Spaces is Wednesday, December 14th at 2 pm. The topic is the State of California cannabis and I will be joined by Graham Farrar and Kyle Kazan from Glass House Brands, and Hirsh Jain from Ananda Strategy. This will be recorded and I will share the link and a summary when it's done.
